Keywords:
Sistem Pendidikan di Negara Amerika, Sistem Pendidikan Amerika Serikat, Sistem Pendidikan Amerika LatinAbstract
This study examines educational systems in the Americas—specifically in the United States and Latin America—to compare how these systems function. The objective is to provide an overview of the educational landscape across these regions. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing library research; data is drawn from books and articles that serve as primary sources regarding educational systems in the United States and Latin America, ensuring that the references are both credible and relevant to the scope of the research. The findings indicate that: (1) The educational system in the United States is characterized by decentralization, meaning that educational matters are managed at the regional or state level without interference from the U.S. President; (2) The goal of the educational system in the United States is to foster progress across all areas of education; and (3) As a democratic nation, the United States grants all individuals the freedom to pursue and develop their knowledge, learn continuously from experience, and cultivate their skills—particularly within the realm of education—to achieve educational objectives.
