Licensing Policy

All articles published in Tarbiyah: Journal of Education and Teaching are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license applies to all content published in the journal, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The CC BY 4.0 license is intended to facilitate the widest possible dissemination and reuse of scholarly work. Under this license, readers and users are free to copy, distribute, display, adapt, translate, and build upon the published material, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source of publication.

What the License Allows

The Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License permits:

  • Sharing — copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format
  • Adapting — remixing, transforming, and building upon the material
  • Both commercial and non-commercial use

These rights are granted without the need to seek additional permission from the author or the journal, provided that the terms of the license are respected.

Attribution Requirements

When reusing or redistributing material published in this journal, users must provide appropriate attribution, which at a minimum includes:

  • Name(s) of the author(s)
  • Title of the article
  • Name of the journal
  • A reference to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License
  • An indication of whether changes were made

Attribution must not imply endorsement by the author or the journal.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors publishing in this journal retain copyright to their work. By submitting and publishing an article, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and agree to distribute the work under the CC BY 4.0 license.

This arrangement allows authors to maintain ownership of their intellectual property while enabling the journal to provide lawful and permanent open access. Further details are available in the Copyright Notice.

Consistency with Open Access Policy

This licensing policy is an integral component of the journal’s full open access commitment. All articles are made immediately and permanently available upon publication, with no embargo period and no reuse restrictions beyond those defined by the license.

For a complete description of the journal’s open access model, including access rights, publication fees, and reuse principles, please refer to the Open Access Policy.

Third-Party Material

If an article contains third-party material (such as images, figures, or data) that is not owned by the author and is not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license, such material will be clearly identified and may be subject to different licensing terms.

Users are responsible for obtaining permission to reuse such third-party material where required by law.
