Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep Al-Qur'an dan Hadits pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Raya. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi keagamaan, khususnya Al-Qur'an dan Hadits, yang disebabkan oleh dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional yang tidak secara aktif melibatkan siswa. Model PBL dipilih karena dianggap mampu merangsang berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan keterlibatan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretest-posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman konsep dan observasi kegiatan belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan model PBL mengalami peningkatan pemahaman yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL efektif dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan memperdalam pemahaman siswa tentang nilai-nilai Islam yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, direkomendasikan agar model PBL diimplementasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran alternatif dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di tingkat SMP.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the understanding of the concepts of the Qur'an and Hadith in grade IX students of SMP Negeri Raya. The background of this study is the low understanding of students on religious materials, especially the Qur'an and Hadith, which is caused by the dominance of conventional learning methods that do not actively involve students. The PBL model was chosen because it is considered capable of stimulating critical thinking, problem solving, and active involvement in the learning process. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests to measure the level of conceptual understanding and observations of learning activities. The results showed that students who were taught with the PBL model experienced a more significant increase in understanding compared to students who followed conventional learning. These findings indicate that the PBL model is effective in fostering critical thinking skills and deepening students' understanding of Islamic values ​​contained in the Qur'an and Hadith. Based on these results, it is recommended that the PBL model be implemented as an alternative learning strategy in Islamic Religious Education subjects at the junior high school level.
