Peer Review Process

Tarbiyah : Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pengajaran applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and scholarly contribution of every published article.

Review System

The journal implements a Double-Blind Peer Review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest.

Review Procedure

  1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.
  2. Initial Editorial Evaluation
The editorial board evaluates the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s criteria may be rejected without external review.
  3. Plagiarism Screening
Manuscripts passing the initial evaluation are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software.
  4. Double-Blind Peer Review Process
Eligible manuscripts are reviewed by at least two (2) independent reviewers (Mitra Bestari) with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. Reviewers assess both substantive and technical aspects.
  5. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions: accepted, accepted with minor revision, accepted with major revision, or rejected. The editor’s decision is final.
  6. Revision by Authors
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ comments within the specified timeframe.
  7. Final Decision and Notification
The editor communicates the final decision to authors through the OJS system.

Review Duration

The peer review process generally takes up to 4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the timeliness of author revisions.
